YOUR JOURNEY
Land’s End to John o’ Groats is the traversal of the whole length of the island of Great Britain between two extremities, in the southwest and northeast. The traditional distance by road is 874 miles (1,407 km) and takes most cyclists 10 to 14 days; the record for running the route is just 9 days! Off-road walkers typically walk about 1,200 miles (1,900 km) and take two or three months for the expedition. The good news is that you can have up to 9 other team members to share the load. But remember – you’ll have to combine your efforts with a multitude of fitness activities to reach your virtual finish line in just 22 days.
You can also track the progress of your team and other teams during the event by visiting the Mission Page. Feel free to complete each bout of activity in a place and at a pace that suits you. And why not use this opportunity to up your game with some active commuting? Finally, remember to let your friends and family hear about your involvement in the Virtual Atos Expedition and ask them to sponsor you via your personalised Just Giving page.
THE PRINCE’S TRUST
Everyone taking part in the Virtual Atos Expedition will be raising money for The Prince’s Trust – a charity committed to transforming the lives of young, vulnerable people across the UK.
