YOUR JOURNEY
Join us on a 25,000-mile virtual challenge on foot across the globe from Canada to Russia via London during our 25th anniversary year. Your participation will support the work of the Tax Advisers Charitable Trust while providing a year-long boost to your physical health.
The beauty of doing the challenge virtually is that you can take part at your own pace and in your own space throughout the month to fit in with your other commitments. To track your progress you can input your distance on the website manually. But if you have a fitness app on your phone – e.g. Strava, Fitbit or RunKeeper – you can automatically sync your progress.
EVENT PROMOTER
The Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers is one of the 110 Livery Companies in London which have over 27,000 Liveryman. Each Livery Company has its own traditions of philanthropic fellowship. Ancient or modern they are all dedicated to serving others. From the start, the companies cared for their members in sickness and old age. Today, we support both our members, and have wider charitable aims and activities, including supporting education and training.
We aim to raise £25,000 from this challenge so please sign up today and help us raise the £1 per mile we need to reach our target.
TAX ADVISERS CHARITABLE TRUST
The Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers supports the Tax Advisers Charitable Trust (Registered Charity No. 1064392) which supports charities connected to the City of London and surrounding Boroughs, the tax economy and organisations to which the Company is affiliated.
The charity support fits into four broad areas:
- Tax Charities such as TaxAid, Tax Help for Older People and Bridge The Cap and supporting study and prizes in tax examinations.
- Charities affiliated to the City of London, such as Lord Mayors Appeal, Taxi drivers’ annual “Magical Taxi Tour”, Royal British Legion, ABF The Soldiers Charity, Ironbridge Gorge, Treloars and Clergy Support Trust.
- Charities which the company is affiliated to such as City of London and NE Sector Army Cadet Force and St John Ambulance.
- Charities who approach us, these are some of our most interesting and rewarding donations and we have supported Keen London where we purchased some play equipment, Caritas Anchor House where we supported some refurbishment and Hackney Quest where our contribution was used to purchase reconditioned laptops which were then loaned to young people during the Coronavirus pandemic to enable them to access online support sessions and enable them to also have access to school homework sites.
